![]() ![]() Per default, notes in archived notebooks are not shown in search results but each search result list ends with a link / button saying something like "search archived tasks. In each stack, archived notebooks are not shown per default while having a notebook placeholder saying something like "show archived notebooks" There would be a special "Archived" section in the left panel, showing all notebooks which were marked as "archived" Folks could then either create a dedicated "Archive" notebook, mark it as "Archived" and move all single notes they want to archive there, or, like me, archive whole notebooks once the corresponding project is done without moving them out of the stacks where they belong. I can go through all notes in the "Archive" stack and add the "archive" tag but this is error prone - imagine I miss one or I ever need a note from there and move it to an active project notebook, I still won't be able to find it because it will still have the "archive" tag on it.Ī dedicated "Archived" checkbox on each notebook would be the solution to all our problems. I can move the notebook in an "Archive" stack but that won't exclude the notes from searches and break my stack organization. ![]() Once I finish a project, I can easily archive it in Todoist but in Evernote, there is nothing convenient. You want to have this hide in some place but not displaying all the time.Īs probably thousands of Evernote users, I have a separate notebook for each project (matching the corresponding project in Todoist). You prepare for a vacation and suddenly canceled. You may not want to have this Archive notes in your local hard disk, unless you click "Download".You closed a company and want all the notes in a special place. You finished a graduation course full of notes and you want these notes in a place that you may need but normally it will not be part of your search or have a distract visual in All Notes View.I have many scenarios where this is valid, some of them here: You could even move a completely Notebook. Every note I move to this icon will make it not searchable, unless I'm searching inside the Archive View. ![]() Like we have Notes, Notebook, Tags, Atlas, Market and Premium button on the Mac version, I dream with an Archive button. As time goes, my search are getting more difficult to separate valid information and archived information. I've been using for 4 years and now I have some notes that I want to keep in the system, but want to remove from my search. I really would love to see a solution for archiving notes. ![]()
